It Matters

It matters what I say
It matters what I do
It matters when the world stops spinning
And I still see you
It matters right now
It mattered back then
It matters that we fall apart
And come back again
It matters a lot
It matters to me
It matters that we're something
More than we can see
It matters over here
It matters over there
It matters in the quiet moments
When no one's aware
It matters most
When hearts collide
It matters that you're
Here by my side
It matters right now
It mattered back then
It matters that we fall apart
And do it all again
It matters a lot
It matters to me
It matters that we're something
More than we can see
Through the cracks in the walls
Through the dust and the doubt
It matters we hold on
When the light flickers out
It matters we try
It matters we fight
It matters that love
Keeps burning so bright
